Low 16's is VERY respectable for an Eta.  Nice work!
BTW, my M3 can chirp 3rd on most dry days. It's all a matter of foot work and tire sizes. A 205 or less tire (esp one of lower traction rating than what is found on an M5) can be made to spin pretty easily. I'm guessing that the stock 3.73 LSD is still in there, although a 4.10 would chirp them even harder.
THIS one might be hard to believe, but I even got my M42 powered 318iS to chirp 3rd one night. I usually have issues chirping second, but shifted a bit low (and got the engine into more of the meat of the torque band) and have some cheesy 195 H rated tires on there. I have three witnesses to vouch for this as well, including the guy I was racing in a 944S.

He also knows how i like my car set up so rather than BMW settings when are a comprimise he sets it up for the high octane fuel and max power. (which is why when i go very easy on the highway it still only does 24Mpg at best, foot to the floor and 3Mpg is you reward,averages out to 7-10Mpg on a Blast.) The induction is nothing iv'e seen before it looks like alot of effort has gone into the positioning and sizes of the air box and funnel. To be perfectly honnest thats the only reason i want a new car so that i know where i am with it as for all i know the whole rear end could have been changed. (which would explain why i managed a 7.4 0-60 time with 3 other ppl in the car.) wasn't official just done on his watch but they were impressed.
