First of all I would like to say hello. 2nd I am building a 70' 2002. Right now the car is completely stock. The drivetrain is going to consist of a 400ci sbc engine, th350 3 speed chevy tranny, a early 90's corvette c4 rear independant suspension with shortend drive half shafts. I am returning the front suspension to rack and pinion to accomidate the engine. The front susepnsion will be fairly stock with the exception of 3 series hubs and 7 series brakes. I am about to start hacking and reinfocing the subframe but before I do I want to see if anyone has ever transplanted a domestic v8 engine into a 2002. Pics will be forthcoming soon...Thanks

Thanks, we were thinking about something fuel injected but we are trying to keep it some what simple and HP/$$$ wise nothing can beat a small block chevy. A 540i/tranny/ecu/engine would be at least 4-6k and we can build a sb @ 400hp and a th350 tranny for around 2 grand and care nothing if something happens to it.
