My driveway's covered with ash!

Geez, these fires are horrible! I come down from the Bay Area and it looks like a war zone down here. My g/f said it looked like Armageddon. When I was near Magic Mountain, I could see the flames all over the mountains. As I go further into LA county, the air gets smokier and smokier. My house is prolly the furthest point from all the fires and my driveway is still covered with ashes.

manuel, isnt your bro on an p5 or mp3 board? same as my friend, he said there is one guy on that board that said his house is expected to go up in flames and they were celebrating by getting wasted.

well we both post on there...i seldom do now-a-days. i was one of the first members on there...it helped me and my brother find his car.

Me too, also got ash everywhere. Alot of people I know lost their homes in this fire.

I'm sorta close to the beach. I really doubt the flames will get anywhere near me. If they do, then damn, it would be one hell of a fire to burn through that many suburbs to get to me. It's not fun going outside tho. Everything smells like a bar-b-que gone horribly wrong. This really sucks. For a while, high gas prices and the economy was all SoCal people really had to gripe about. Now, people are dying and so far, over 650 homes have gone up in flames. This ain't cool.

It's so hard to breathe whenever I go outside. I hate it...

...what's sad though is, I/we complain about the ashes on our cars...

...but if you think about it, those ashes are people's homes.


You can't really tell that it's smokey, but it was pretty hazy where I live...

i just took this pic from the front of my building (where i work).............................its getting close, My home is 5 miles east of Magic Mountain.... i think itll be alright tho

Oh man, I hope you've got stuff packed up. When I came back into LA last nite, the fires were getting pretty close to Magic Mountain already.

Tim its weird....it does seem that way ,but just this morning that mountain had no smoke coming from it, now it seems as if its gonna burn down to the rim. Ill post another pic in a couple hours, itll prolly be burned down, hopefully not, there are very expensive homes on that hill.......it sux

well that hill is not too far from you....that would bother me even more. here is what i think. the wind still blows above the hill from your position, but as the hill has a lee side on the opposite side than the one we see, the fire can burn there without problem. maybe the wind pressing on the front side keeps the flames from getting over the peak! how's now?
