oil filter?

does anyone know if you need to add any oil if you just replace the oil filter?

i figure since the oil filter is so easy to change, might as well service it between oil changes ...

You don't have too. I mean, some might spill out, but not a lot. Just check the oil level after you change it to make sure. It sits right there at the top so there's no reason I can think of why you'd need to add oil. Just make sure you let the engine cool and oil settle bfore you change the filter.
