I finished up my repairs and finally go the car off the jackstands that have been holding it up for the past 2 weeks. I replaced the steering rack, and 1 tie rod (the other I kept since it was in fine condition... the one I didn't keep had a bad ball joint.)
The problem I am having is while driving, the steering feels 'over boosted.' If I am making a turn while moving, and let go of the wheel, it will continue to turn further in the direction I initially turned the wheel, instead of back to the center. I do realize my alignment is VERY off (eyed it up as best as possible.)
What could be the problem? I sure as hell hope it's not the rack, since I just put a new one on. If I'm sitting in the driveway without moving, I do not have this problem with the steering.
The problem exists anywhere over 5 mph. Anyone have a clue??
