I just finished talking to my SA at the dealership here in OKC. It looks like all CPO BMWs get all service work done for free for 6 years/100K starting Jan 12. This includes the inspections and brakes & rotors. I just might have to buy a new car!
cpo warranty is 6 years from the original purchase date of the vehicle.
basically it extends the warranty 2 extra years and 50k more miles if the car is out of the original warranty, if the car still has the original factory warranty, it just adds to it.
it's cool that they are throwing in free maint for the warranty period also.
Yes, my SA showed me an official letter from BMW (he's a good friend of mine), so it's official. I don't know how it starts though, if you have to buy a CPO after a certain date.
Be nice if they could turn back the clock on this one... I wouldn't mind some free scheduled maintenance work. Actually, I was originally told from the salesman that all maintenance was covered within the first 5yrs/100k miles... Man, those guys could be replaced with a more informative window sticker.
