Just can't beat the classic look of the 2002's. Great cars. My friend use to have a lime green one with plates that read "Kermint." It was fun to ride around in. Do you race it at all?
No, but my dad recently bought a '72 which is ready to race x/c for some bodywork and a motor, but it has a rollcage, a fuel cell and is gutted to race specs. I plan to keep my own car off the track despite all of the engine suspension and other mods it has on it.
Good luck, it didn't long for me, but when I found it, it needed a lot of work! The biggest concern when buying was rust though, and this car has zero!!! In all of the places you would expect an 02 to have rust this car does not have, so that is why I chose this fixer-upper. When I bought it, it was getting ready for the crusher, but now its getting ready for some Recaros...
I can't wait until the seats are finished, they are at the upholstery shop right now getting finished up. The body has a few dings, but my camera sucks so it makes everything look perfect! I intend to put on turbo flares to maybe cover up the biggest ding on the right rear which is from someone before me sideswiping it, but it is not horrible and could be fixed with some bodywork and paint. Thanks all!
Is it a seventy four¿ I just got gone rewiring a griends 1973. They are such kick @ss little cars. I have some wiring daigrams for it if you ever need them.
I have posted a couple more, I just haven't had the time in the last couple of days. After I finish waxing it, I will add more pics, although please forgive my cheapass camera. I am too poor to buy a good one...
