Newcastle Brown Ale, Hacker-Pschorr Hefe Weisse
Blackened Voodoo Lager and Crimson Voodoo from Louisiana
Rogue Dead Guy Ale-tried it because of the name/bottle
Alien Ale--apparently only available in New Mexico/SW USA; couldn't find it in Chicago
Half and half, black and tan
Don't get me started about single malt Scotch (Balvenie, Lagavulin, Macallan Cask Strength), Tequila (Don Julio 1942), Kentucky whisky (Woodford Reserve, Baker's)
I love Grolsch. Ill take it over a Heineken any day. The latter is more bitter. Grolsch goes down much smoother than Heinie to me. How about Dos XX, Pacifica, Negra Modelo, Tecate...any day over Corona. The worst to me was Hams.
I like grolsch too, but my "daily drinker" is Steinlager. Also like Heineken from time to time, Corona is OK with lime. I really like any of the Monteiths collection (sorry, but you yanks can't get that or Steiny's) or a Boutique beer called Macs made in a little town called Stoke near Motueka in the South Island which is very popular over here aswell.
Monteiths make a gorgeous "Summer Ale" which is a very crisp flavoured lager with a little bit of Manuka Honey to sweeten it slightly. (You don't add the honey, it is put in as part of the brewing process along with the usual sugar.)
It is great for a hot afternoon, really refreshing, but tastes like treacle if you have been hitting a full-strength/full flavoured beer and then switch to it a few hours later.
Bitte ein Bit That's pretty good. Spaten is probably my favourite though. For any E. Germans on here...I still think Radeburger is the best. When I lived in Dresden...that was a daily drink (and I really don't even like Bier). Bad German, Bad!!!
Has anyone ever seen Radeburger here in the states??? Yummmm
Mmmmmm..... Beer.........
Spaten, ja, ich trinke OPTIMATOR!!!!! PROST!!!
In the fridge right now:
Bitburger
Leffe Abbey Ale
Yuengling Lager
Yards (Philly microbrew)
Damn, now you got me going Dan, I have a Yards in my hand.......
