Just a quick question..

Hello...I am new to the board and this is my very first post!

I have a 2004 BMW 325i and just have a quick question...was hoping someone could give me some insight.

Today, while I was driving, I drove over a really bad pot-hole in the road that I didn't see... I hit the bottonm of my car...I really heard the "bang".

I pulled over and tried to look underneath the car...but it was very hard to see anything...
The car seems to be driving OK but I am worried that maybe I did some damage?
Should I concerned about it? What should I be looking for if in fact I did so something? I am so upset over it...I really love my car and just hope I didn't damage it!

question for you, Is your car lowered?
ill take that when you said;

That it was a really deap hole,
You may have just put a rim out of balence, and you should look into maybe getting your wheels balenced/repaired and a wheel alighnment (while your there) it will save you from having to replace flogged out rubbers, later on.

Welcome to the board. Yes have your tire/rim checked you could have damaged both. While the car is in the air take a look underneath for other damage.

Some people buy after-market springs and shock absorbers to make the car's body sit "lower" to the ground in an effort to make it stand out from other cars and or just handle slightly better.
I wish i had a 325i

And besides the wheels, I hope you have not hit or bent any of the control arms/rods down there.
Also, inspect the inside walls of the tires. There might be some bad scrapes which could be a safety threat if the tire fails while you're driving at speed.

I checked all the wheels and they are fine...thank goodness! I am worried that I hit the "bottom" of the car... I hope I didn't hit any of the control arms/rods...if I did...is it something that can be repaired? The car seems to be driving fine.

I will have our BMW service check it tomorrow.
