Why not get the ///M Roadster? It's got the same specs as the coupe, but with the added bonus of the drop top! .... and the ladies LOVE the drop top![;)]

Ask BigDaddy... he'll tell you what a blast these cars are to drive. Check out his gallery too, he's got a HOT dinan roadster! They are SUPER light weight, and major torque monsters, which is great for that punch in the gut rush of speed your looking for. I don't think I'll ever sell mine... I'll just get another car down the road and keep this one as a weekend toy.

My personal opinion on the m-coupe is that it was born and bread for the track. The styling is a bit off for my taste as a street car, but I'd sure LOVE to have one as a track toy!

If the coupe is what floats your boat, go for it man... don't think twice about it! YOU'LL LOVE any ///M car you pick. That I'm willing to bet the farm on.[;)]

I would reconsider it before taking the plunge....their are quicker cars to be had for less money

Actually the VW's aren't that hard to maintain. I have owned 3 and a buddy of mine in Salt Lake City has a VW tuning shop called TDC motorsports. You are right on the coil issue though. They do go through an average of 1 coil/distibuter every one to 2 years. The brkes are also not a highpoint for the VW's. If you want a quick little VW that has a high amount of tuning potential, and can be tweaked fairly easily. Save you money and pick up a 1991 Jetta GLI. Their engine are moderately powerful adn with the add on of an engine management system and a turbo kit you can get them up around 300 BHP very easily. That 2.0l, DOHC, 16 valve is a great engine. As is the VR6.

as i said i want a car thats nice to look at not a 1991, i'm looking for something under warrenty not anything acient. and i'd pick the M-Coupe or the R32 over a 1991 Jetta anyday lol
